Eric Torres studies the educational dilemmas of a polarized world. He is currently a Senior Fellow at the Segal Center for Academic Pluralism and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute.
His work focuses on the conceptualization and measurement of political tolerance, public attitudes about political impartiality in education, the habits of academics, and other topics related to civic life under conditions of political polarization.
Work he conducted with colleagues at the Making Caring Common project has been covered by The Washington Post, NPR, The Atlantic, and other outlets.
Eric holds a PhD and an EdM from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.
